The selected pieces from the book that intrigued me to want to read more was, "The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven" and "The Chrysanthemums". These two stories made me want to read more and see what would happen next. In "The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven", I was convinced that his dream would come true and that something bad would happen in the reservation. At the end he even stated it about his dream. It amazed me how he was being judged when he walked into the 7-11 at first but than ended up leaving on good terms with the clerk. That shows not to judge a book by its cover. As for the cop saying you don't belong in this neighborhood because you don't fit the profile of the neighborhood. It made me question as to how you're suppose to look when entering a neighborhood. It shows that at that time people weren't open minded to diversity.

I thought it was interesting to read "The Chrysanthemums". When the man in the wagon arrived to see if the she wanted anything to be prepared I thought he would try to scam her, but turned out he was being genuine about his proposal. When he asked to receive the chrysanthemums to pass down to his regular client I thought he didn't mean well when he did. I felt as though there was a lust scene when she was on the ground reaching for him, but then got a hold of herself once she felt the man was getting uncomfortable. At the end of the text I was confused as to why she shed a tear when asking about the fight shows. Overall it was fun to read.
